It all began with a boy, a tree, and a scared but very brave tabby kitten.
Noah- only 9 at the time noticed commotion across the street from his home in Hutchinson, Kansas. There were 3 older girls that had put a kitten on a tree branch with a noose wrapped around his neck trying to get the kitten to jump.
Noah ran over and without saying a word, safely retrieved the little guy from the tree and brought him into the house.
Snicker had been saved and the greatest friendship was formed.

Fast forward to high school. Julia, a Senior at the time, an admitted crazy cat lady herself, met Noah. Snicker wasn't the biggest fan of anyone who wasn't Noah. However... this particular cat lady eventually won Snick over.
After high school, Julia, Noah, and Snicker packed their bags and moved to Savannah, Georgia to study at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
While only living there for 2 years, the trio traveled all over the South. During this time, Snick learned how to walk on a leash with a harness and took many rides in his very own cat stroller.
When it was all said and done, Snicker had visited 14 states and even saw the Atlantic Ocean.

In 2019 they made the move back to Kansas, settling in Wichita. Instead of a tiny apartment where outside access was only available if Snicker was in a stroller, Snick now had a full backyard to make his own and bask in the sunrays. Stroller rides were still in order when taking a walk in College Hill Park and around the neighborhood.

In 2022- around the time Snicker turned 14 he was diagnosed with Lymphoma. They spent that summer driving back and forth to Manhattan to see the vets at K-state to receive chemo treatments as well as working with Dr. Jones at The Cat Hospital of Wichita.
Snicker passed away in late August.

After 6 months- they decided their first step to healing would be to help other cats in need and started their partnership with the Wichita Animal Action League as fosters.

Introducing: Felix and Pippa- they purred on the way back to Noah and Julia's house and immediately stole their broken hearts. They didn't expect to be able to feel the love Snicker provided so immediately. Noah and Julia "foster failed" on their first try and realized how they could help WAAL and the Wichita area strays find forever homes at a faster pace by opening a cat café.
